Happy holidays! This year has been quite interesting, especially during the holidays. Normally during this time of the year, I would sit around the kitchen table with my parents and siblings, laughing and catching up with each other. It feels very strange not being able to visit to celebrate with my family. It’s such an empty feeling but I know it’s for the best. My resolution for the new year is to be grateful for the things we take for granted (health, family, friends) a...nd to remain positive because we can’t affect the environment around us but we get to choose our own actions and how we feel. I am thankful for so many things this year and it easily outweighs all the things I could be sad about. Wishing you and your family the very best for the holidays and a very happy new year! 2020 has taught me.. To slow down... and that anything is possible! Don’t ever take things for granted. Call that friend, meet family, go on walks.. enjoying the simple things in life. Rest is good, don’t ever feel guilty about it! ... To let go of the idea that it’s never too late. It’s never too late to chase that dream, change your life, take that step towards change. To be close to those who encourage you, push you to change for the better and support your dreams. Not to compare yourself to others in this race of life. What night work for them at their pace, might not work for you. That I should spend time with people who matter and not please everyone around me because someone somewhere will never be happy! To always keep my face towards the sunshine, and let the shadows fall behind me. And most importantly that carbs can be your best friend.. ;) Praying for a much better, brighter new year! We love when a venue gives us the opportunity to think out of the box. I love @palaisroyaleballroom for that reason! The overhead crossbeams had us thinking and we decided on having flowers off the table! We have qualified and experienced rigging partners and we make sure everything is installed securely with weight considerations! Happy Wednesday! I can’t believe it’s November already and that it’s almost the end of the year. What a year this has been! During normal circumstances (pre-Covid) I would look forward to the holidays and plan for my trip back home to see my family but this year will be a different kind :( Who would have known that this would be my first Christmas in Canada in almost 8-9 years!
