Today was another first for the Bideford Shellfish Hatchery and the Skills Partnership Fund (SPF) crews. After conditioning their oyster broodstock, spawning a...nd raising the product onsite the hatchery crew was able to deliver 1 million perfect baby oysters at a size of 2mm back to East Cape Oyster Company this morning! The product is now safely feeding in the FLUPSY that was delivered and set up last Thursday in Souris, Prince Edward Island. On behalf of the Bideford Shellfish Hatchery and the Skills Partnership Fund (SPF) crews - we would like to thank Phil and his crew at East Cape Oyster Company for their ongoing partnership and business. We wish you all the best and look forward to seeing the growth in your product over the coming days!
