The instructor is gallivanting in Paris this week, so we met at a pub and discussed History, the Italian tradition, and began delving in Fiore's manuscript.

Yesterday was warm up, cutting drills, then playing with the IAS sword drill some more. Another great class from Bernard, with new and motivated students, returning students, and others working hard!

Great return to class yesterday! New and old faces. The new students focused on basics - stance, stepping, holding a sword, basic movements. More advanced student did dagger drill review dynamically - all attacks with covers, then counters, then some counter-counters. After that, all together, we went over the IAS sword form, capped with practicing the form though drills - new students learning the basics, advanced perfecting the drills with a bit more intensity. Great to be back after the Holidays!!

Hi guys! Classes are resuming January 15th, at Richelieu-Vanier!!

Tonight, Dmitriy and I did some light sword and buckler sparring, trying some techniques that we have practiced in the past few weeks. It was really enlightening! JF
