Very easy to make

Since most of us are spending more time at home, what a perfect opportunity to get to those unfinished objects! I finished my 4 Patch Posy wallhanging, and since I had a LOT of leftover fabric from the border, I got creative and decided to make a new iron board cover and sewing machine dust cover. I used the old ironing board cover as a template, de-constructed it to re-use the hardware. Sure it took me about 3 hours to do but it was a rewarding project to bide some time, and refresh my sewing room! Keep calm and quilt on!

I saw this posted on the Canadian Quilters site today, the pattern is called an Illusion quilt, and I thought what a great pattern to use up those beautiful scraps we have that we hate to cut into little tiny pieces... Keep Calm and Quilt On!

In light of the current COVID-19 situation the March 24 meeting of the Lethbridge Centennial Quilters Guild will be cancelled. We are a group of predominantly Seniors. The guild Executive will meet via e-mail. Stay home, keep calm and quilt on!!

Greetings that your holiday season will be merry and bright! Merry Christmas!

What a great day!! How can things be better. Lovely Christmas party at Park Ridge. The food was fantastic, Prizes were wonderful even if I didn’t win one, Willie’s trunk show was awesome, a few vendors selling there items, lots of visiting with friends. Thanks to the person who’s bag I picked for the cute little topper. I want to thank Liz and Bonnie for all the work they did getting the party organized. They made our table cloths and gathered all the prizes. Great job ladies!!!!

Meeting tonight at 7 pm CASA

Another successful "Stay & Play" retreat... we sewed all day Saturday from morning to night, had a hot meal delivered to us, stayed set up, came back and sewed most of the day Sunday with a cold meal from the yummy left overs. Thanks to the retreat committee, job well done and it was a great weekend!

Lethbridge Art Walk week is on from September 23rd to September 27.... the Quilt Guild has several of our quilts on display in the Atrium of City Hall during this week! Bring a friend and come on down to showcase the many artistic talents! Special thanks to our set up committee!
