WHAT’S IN OUR BOWLS? Have you ever wondered what we feed our pets and what supplements we give our furry family members? We get asked this question frequently and thought we’d share one cute staff pet at a time. Our first pet to feature is Viva, our Registered Technician Tammy’s 13 year old Standard Schnauzer. Viva is fed twice a day.... Her morning meal is comprised of Purina NeuroCare dry food along with one tablet of chewable Dasuquin and one capsule of Hepato Support. Her evening meal is comprised of Purina NeuroCare dry food with a package of FortiFlora. Later in the evening she enjoys a CET Dental Chew or a CET VeggieDent. Viva regularly has Vetradent Water Additive in her water bowl. WHAT ARE ALL OF THESE THINGS AND WHAT IS THEIR PURPOSE FOR VIVA? PURINA NEUROCARE is a dry food that has been formulated to support cognitive health in senior pets. It helps manage epilepsy (in addition to veterinary therapy) and dogs with Cognitive Dysfunction Syndrome. DASUQUIN is a supplement to help Viva’s arthritic joints as she ages, which will help keep her more comfortable and active. HEPATO SUPPORT is a supplement to help support Viva’s liver health. FORTIFLORA is a palatable probiotic to support her intestinal health. VETRADENT is a water additive designed to fight plaque, tartar and freshen breath. CET DENTAL CHEW or CET VEGGIEDENT are chews that are formulated to help control plaque and tartar. We hope this helps you see that our pets can all have lots of issues that can be managed through diet, supplements and medication. Viva is a happy, healthy senior dog that loves her young family members and long walks.
