Do you need more swim instructors and pool lifeguards on staff? One solution is to program more Bronze Medallion courses! On average, for every 6 registered Bro...nze Medallion candidates, you get 1 certified swim instructor. And for every 3 registered Bronze Medallion candidates, you get 1 certified pool lifeguard. Once your facility reopens, consider broadening your base with more Bronze Medallion courses. While your local stormwater pond may look like a great place to have a game of pick-up hockey or a leisurely skate, don't be fooled. These ponds have a specific... job, and that's to continuously collect stormwater runoff from neighbourhoods. Because of this function, they are designed to have water flowing in and out of them all year long (from rainfall and snowmelt), making them an unsafe place to play. From the moment we won the bid in March 2017, we have been working tirelessly with many volunteers to plan a phenomenal Canada Games for 5,000 participants from... across Canada. Today, and together with the Canada Games Council, we have made the difficult decision to postpone the Niagara 2021 Canada Summer Games until the summer of 2022 to better protect the health and safety of Games participants, the Niagara community, and visitors from across the country. Although postponed a year, we will continue to move forward with the same passion and excitement as we prepare to host the nation in 2022. We can’t wait to deliver the Games we promised and the Games you deserve Let the NEW countdown begin!
