Lightsource Photography

This is pure 2 year old perfection. I love this portrait of my daughter, runny nose and all. Sometimes I feel like we are too quick to edit out these details- with our automatic use of photo editing and obsession with image curation...to make an image look better or closer to perfect. This certainly has its place. But I simply cannot imagine doing that to this photo. It is already perfect, and so is she. Two year olds don’t care if they have a bit of snot running do...wn their nose. She would never think to pull those loose strands of hair away from her face. She, like every other young child, is living in that particular moment, and that moment only.
