Hi Calgary! We just wanted to get on here and post a note about the 2020 #LilacFest. We have seen misleading posts saying the festival is happening on September 20 - this is NOT the case. We want to clarify that this is not associated with The Lilac Festival and there will NOT be a Lilac Fest happening this year. Please see our media brief for more information. We will hopefully see you all in 2021!

The 31st Annual #LilacFest is officially postponed until June 6, 2021! // As tough as this decision was to make, we are confident that next year will be a safe + fun celebration of resiliency and community spirit, bigger than it's ever been before! . In the meantime, we urge you to continue supporting small businesses whenever possible. Our local community needs us more than ever and any support you can offer truly makes a world of difference. The 4th Street Lilac Festival was originally scheduled to take place TODAY - June 7 - officially beginning a vibrant festival season and the enjoyment of our most beloved summer months. We are all aware of our circumstance, but we still sorely miss all of your smiling, happy faces. Therefore, in place of visiting the festival today, please keep the spirit of community connection alive by showing support for each other! Take a stroll along #4thStreetCalgary with a friend, shop or eat at a local business, support a musician's online performance, donate to your favorite charity, or share a special memory with us of a past #LilacFest. The 31st Annual #LilacFest has officially been [ POSTPONED ] until September 2020 // Calgary we love you and we are so grateful for the immense amount of support you have shown us throughout the years! This was not a decision that was made easily, but with the health and well-being of our city in mind, along with the safety protocols laid out by the City of Calgary Your Local Government this is currently the best course of action for the festival at this moment. With that ...being said, we are working closely with the 4th Street BIA and staying cautiously optimistic that we will be able to set a date and still celebrate the #2020LilacFestival with you come September.
