Come dine in tonight. It won’t happen again for another 3 weeks. Homemade potato pierogis pan fried with bacon, cabbage rolls or sausage.

Our feature this weekend. Hungarian chicken paprikash with dumplings and sauerkraut.

Today’s feature is homemade gnocchi with chicken in a cream pesto sauce with blistered cherry tomatoes and almonds. Soooo tender!

Craving some comfort on a rainy day? Cubano with French onion soup. Remember, brunch is on till 2pm

Fresh sourdough English muffins for the long weekend (available packaged as well). We are open New Years Day

We have a beautiful Moroccan lamb stew for lunch today

It’s snowing rabbit skins outside and we are busy making mom’s back rib gulash with dumplings and sauerkraut, and Julia Child’s braised short ribs with mash and some beautiful chanterelles. Did we mention our homemade eggnog yet?

I think with with the fall weather our braised short ribs will need to make a guest appearance soon.

Hand made schnitzel on filone with a hot bowl of soup. Warm up with lunch! Your choice of pork, chicken or Lil Chef’ own mushroom schnitzel.

Burger,bacon, bread. Everything on the plate created in-house. (yes, even the mustard)

Happy Thanksgiving from all the Family at Lil Chef Bistro. We will be open for brunch and lunch on Monday. We will close Monday evening so that our staff can enjoy Thanksgiving too.

Chef has been experimenting at home with a few ideas for a feature. Braised Lamb Shanks over Romanian mashed potatoes and house au jus.

Grandma used to say about things being neatly organized that they look like cabbage rolls in a pot. We are putting a big pot of cabbage rolls on for this weekend. Hope you missed them!

We would like to introduce our homemade ginger beer. Naturally fermented, rich in ginger flavour and not too sweet. Our new favourite summer drink.

Oh how we missed the smell of baked butternut squash in our bistro! Our raviolis are back on Monday

It has been almost three months since we had to close our doors to our beloved guests. Thank you everyone for all the calls that came in every day, asking when we would be open and wishing us luck. We feel so humbled to know we are missed. Well, the wait is over. We are opening our doors on Monday morning at 9 am, dine-in and take out. Check out our new menu here

Alongside so many other businesses in town and all across Canada, Lil Chef will remain closed for the time being until further advises by authorities. In the meantime we are taking this opportunity to roll out our expanded menu as well as enjoy time with family. Wishing all our staff and everyone all the best and hope to see you soon
