My COVID Summer * For the first time in a while, I had a quiet summer, and because of that I made choices! I chose to live simply and be grateful.Everyday has been a gift * I watched a beautiful bubble bee die in front of my eyes, and I truly mourned it; then a few minutes later, I witnessed one of our pine trees push out a huge cloud of pollen.The next day as I was dusting our home, the pollen was on all surfaces, looking like gold glitter, which I wiped away with a ...smile and tears for loving reasons.Look for symbolism and I found it! * Out in my new garden boxes, I watched tomato plants grow over 4 feet high and now have many jars of canned tomatoes for winter stews and soups.Then came the abundant apple tree that gave us many litres of organic apple juice, applesauce, and apple pie filling.Along with that was a surprise that we have chokecherry trees!!, that then gave us a few litres of chokecherry syrup (which happens to be one of my all time favourites since childhood!). * We were able to visit our grandchildren (and their parents :) ).It is usually done by FaceTime, but we did get a ‘live’ visit in with one family.I am loving their sense of being, humour, wittiness, wisdom and compassion.They are growing up too fast, and they will be amazing humans! * I had time to sit in the sunshine and soak up the rays; sit under the stars and listen to the trees; read novels (not work related materials); watched movies with subtitles; learned new things; baked, cooked, and slept in. * I shopped locally and supported small businesses.When I was thanked, I knew they meant it! * This summer gave me a gift of ‘remembering’.I remembered what wonder and amazement felt like.And what peace and calm is. * You just never know where your choices will take you until you look back on the memories of them and the lessons learned.It was not a busy summer for me, but one of my most memorable. * I ask you to start a journey of choices . #covidkindness #lifecoach #reflexologist #reikimaster #calmwithinthestorm #letitgo #peaceandlove @limon_startfresh_donna www.limonfresh.com See more
