February is one of my favourite months! It's short and has a nice break in the middle which makes it seem like it lasts only few days. It's also home to my oldest son's birthday (the 14th - my little Valentine's baby) and when my husband and I had our first date almost 13 years ago. Unfortunately the weather here in Saskatoon this month has left a lot to be desired so far. Here's hoping it warms up soon!

My grandparents were always involved in my life. While one set lived less than an hour away and the other more than 9, I loved them both tremendously and learned so much from each. Going to my Baba & Gido's meant fresh farm cream delivered right to their doorstep, a town that was literally 10 square blocks, homemade borscht, fresh buns at 7am and a yearly slo pitch tournament where you could win an actual goat. Couple that with my Grandma & Grandpa who lived in the big city.... She took me shopping at West Edmonton Mall, to the movies, to the outdoor pool, and could still make a mean pot of borscht. While they may have been different in lifestyle, they still maintained similar values - family was number one, grandkids were for spoiling and home cooked food = love. My Baba, Gido and Grandpa are no longer earthside, but my Grandma is still sassing it up in the big city. She's now 'Grandma Eve' to my kiddos and maintains the spoiling aspect every time we see her. These tees are to honour those who hold special places in our life (these are the names my kids use for their grandparents), but I want to know the names your family uses! Tell me!

Friday Fall Vibes We are laying sod this lovely fall evening and I'm already dreaming of spring when we'll be able to enjoy it to the fullest. I guess that's what you call a long con here in Saskatchewan - only 8 months until spring, right?

Happy National Coffee Day! I never drank coffee until my oldest was born and I started taking him on outings to the mall near our home in Abu Dhabi. They had a starbucks and it became part of our weekly routine to walk the mall while I drank a hot latte. He loved riding in the stroller and it was a nice way to break up the long mat leave days. Fast forward 6 years - the coffe is lukewarm, the days are a lot busier, and the love has tripled (but so has my latte)... What's your go to coffee order? Mine's a white mocha with oat milk
