The Saskatchewan government is once again reviewing taking more water out of the river system that is fed by these glaciers for use in crop irrigation. With climate induced reduction in glaciers and the ultimate decrease in water in the rivers in Alberta, Saskatchewan and beyond, we need to be talking about water conservation...NOT increasing water use. Obviously the guilty party didn't learn from his momma that littering was wrong...and here's why! Our simple laziness is leading to this destruction. And it's not just our laziness about picking up after ourselves, but our "need" to theoretically make our lives easier through the creation and use of items that damage our environment ... that very environment that our children and grandchildren and great grandchildren will need to live in.
