Workshop Non-Equity Workshop Director: Miranda MacDougall Producer: Elizabeth Willow... SM: Sammie Hatch Workshop dates: July 16th-20th, flexible hours between 10am-4pm. You do not need to be available all day every day, but preference will be given to those with the best availability. Location: UBC - BC Binnings Studios, room 122. Project Description: We are devising a piece centred around women's relationships to their bodies as they pertain to the ritual of bathing and self-care. We will be working with live music, movement exercises (e.g. Viewpoints), writing prompts, and improvisation to draw on the personal experiences of our ensemble, with the goal of assembling a series of vignettes that relate to our theme. Please be advised that we will be dealing with sensitive material. We value the anonymity of our participants, and will respect the privacy of our artists when assembling the material we produce together in to our show. Submission guidelines: Email [email protected] with a headshot, resume, and a brief statement of interest detailing why you think you would be a good fit for our project, and listing any special skills you bring to the table. Submission Deadline: June 25th, 2018 We welcome and encourage submissions from all those persons identifying as female, particularly any female identifying as LGBTQA+, women of diverse ethnic backgrounds, and women with various levels of ability. Compensation: We are in the process of applying for funding, and are hoping to be able to offer a modest honorarium. We'd like to give a big welcome to our new Artistic Producer Elizabeth Willow! Elizabeth is a theatre artist born and raised in Vancouver, BC. She completed a BFA in Acting at the University of British Columbia, and has since continued her training with a variety of workshops and classes since graduating, and is committed to always finding ways to grow in her artistic practise. Elizabeth's recent credits include An Assertive Girl, part of Speakeasy Theatre's Pull Fest VII, Mo...thers, Daughters, Grandmothers (Excavation Theatre), Mr. Foote's Other Leg (United Players), Ghosts (United Players), Love, Lust, and Lace (Gas Pedal Productions)- a show created by her UBC cohort which she also produced and publicized for the 2016 Fringe Festival, and Dry Land (Rumble Theatre). Elizabeth's artistic practise is driven by her curious nature. Elizabeth strives to bring a sense of play and adventure to all of her work, and is always determined to find new and interesting ways forward for herself and her community. Coming up in August, you can catch Elizabeth in Theory, as part of Rumble Theatre's Tremors Festival. Elizabeth is thrilled to be joining the Little Thief team, and is looking forward to our developing our new show over the summer with some fantastic performers!

Meet the latest addition to our cast! Lanivette Lew is a Vancouver based actor who began performing at age of 3. She has performed with the Goh Ballet in the Nutcracker at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre and Christmas with the Bach Choir. At the age of eight, she began her professional acting training and soon began appearing in Film/Television. Lanivette also enjoys gymnastics, tree climbing, rocking the house with her drums, as well as training her big furry German Shepard. We're over the moon to have her on board!
