"Umbrella Lane founder Dr Anastacia Ryan insists the law will further harm women selling sex by increasing stigma and driving the trade further underground, making them less likely to seek support for their health and wellbeing."

Recently, WISH Drop-In Centre Society held an online panel discussion about the impacts of COVID-19 on sex workers. The types and forms of sex work are extremely varied and diverse, however, the focus of this panel was on street-based sex work and im/migrant sex work; two areas of sex work that see the most amount of vulnerability and risk. What our training looks like these days... Like many people and organizations this year, we've had to adapt much of our work to be online. Over the past few weeks, we've been delivering a virtual version of our Curriculum for Change training for Tamitik Status of Women in Kitimat. We're committed to continuing to build community, deepen connections, and deliver training on effective and inclusive service delivery that meets the needs of sex workers, even in this new era.
