Here is the recording from our last service for International Women's Day. It's on the theme of #ChoosetoChallenge and violence against women. Carolyn Rogers shares about her experience with gender-based violence and her work now as a faith leader who co-facilitates a support group for women who have experienced violence. Please remember that God is always on the side of those who are being abused or oppressed. Always.
Living Interfaith Founder, Reverend Steven Greenebaum, was just interviewed by Nejoud Al-Yagout, the founder of the Interheart Initiative in Kuwait! Check out the video and Nejoud's organization here: https://www.theinterheartinitiative.com/. The joy of Interfaith is spreading, friends!
Just a reminder that our first World Scriptures Study Group session will be tomorrow evening, Wed, Aug 12th from 7-8:30pm PST. We'll be getting together once a month with Professor Harold Rosen from Simon Fraser University to study different sacred texts. So think of it like a Bible study, but every month we study a different religion's holy scripture. To cover our costs - and Professor Rosen's - the price is $12 per session or $100 for all ten sessions. Email us at [email protected] if you're interested. We'd love to have you join us!
And don't forget to join us for our next service - Enjoying the Harvest: A Lughnasadh Celebration with Patrick McKenna this coming Sat, Aug 8th at 10am PST. We hope to see you, then!
Hey friends! Watch our last service for Hajj with Sheikh Nasir Zaidi here now.

Our National Indigenous Peoples Day service is up on YouTube now. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M_CYrmNwYfk&feature=youtu.be) Please check it out, if you can. Those of us who were present believe it's one of the most important services we've held, so far. Reverend Mary Fontaine and Cree Elder Dorothy Visser shared about the significance of the holiday for all First Nations, Inuit, and Métis people across Canada, yet also about the deep racism and injustice they still face ...today at nearly every level of society. You can watch the whole service here, as well as our group discussion afterwards about what more the rest of us can do, as settlers on Turtle Island.
