Does your body looks anyway like the image below? You might have #Lipedema without knowing what is this condition. The good news is that Lipedema pain is perfectly treatable by lymphs drainage by a qualified and trained RMT. Lipedema is usually called as "painful fat" and it can affect women at all ages. It generally manifests after puberty, pregnancy and hormonal changes. It affects mostly the buttock and legs, causing a disproportional body shape. Legs bruise easily and the...y are very sensitive to touch. Legs feel heavy. On late stage it affects drastically the person's gait, leading to misalignment of the spine therefore back pain and osteoarthritis on the knees. I recently attended a workshop in London, Ontario, hosted by Sherry Simoes and what I've learned is that even though there is not much information available, there are many brave wonderful women out there doing extensive researches for themselves and for the community. So if you believe you have this condition, YOU ARE NOT ALONE! lipedemanetworkcanada.com lipedema.org Recommended treatment: - Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD) massage to alleviate pain in the legs - essential oils for massage and self-care - a good nutrition plan to avoid weight gain - regular exercises - medical compression stockings - lymph liposuction * not available in Canada yet Contact me if you have questions! All the best, Liz
