Cancer diagnoses in 2020 are down by approximately 40%. Not because cancer has gone away, but because of a disruption in care caused by the pandemic. The medical community predicts the disruption of cancer care due to COVID-19 will have lasting impacts that have the potential to further disrupt future care and treatment. If you’ve paused treatments or routine checks, it’s time to resume. Cancer doesn’t wait, neither should you. Don’t wait. Contact your healthcare team. Get checked. #NewNormalSameCancer

CONGRATULATIONS Don Adams for reaching the incredible $5000 fundraising milestone! "This is my first year participating in Light The Night! I was inspired to join by my friend Elinor. To me, Light The Night means HOPE. The event brings hope for finding cures for those affected and those to be diagnosed in future!... I’m so proud for having reached this $5,000 milestone! I simply sent emails and made personal phone calls to all those I’ve been connected to. Not only has that, those I connected with also helped raise funds in my honour! Canadians should continue to raise funds for the LLSC because treatments are being found at a significant rate, but so much more can be done with more and immediate research. We all need to at least pay forward."
