Each person makes a difference in our band and each person is valuable. Joining marching band is one of the best ways to make and keep friends for a lifetime, have a place of belonging, have an instant family, to practice great work ethic, to develop your character and learn many life skills! It's also a ton of fun and you'll make lasting memories! Even if you're just a little bit interested in joining our marching band or are curious - please fill out this form. Fall is the season of pumpkins and apples with the spicy scent of fall in the air. The green leaves of summer have long changed and danced their way into the sky. The yellow harvest shimmers in the cooler fall nights as it glides across star filled night skies. All too soon a blanket of snow will cover the ground giving the earth a restful respite from the hot summer sun. Moments like these give me pause to reflect upon all the wonders and love that surround our small communi...ty that we call home. This year the Light the Way project will celebrate 27 years since this quaint tradition came to the streets of Alpine on Christmas Eve. To celebrate this momentous occasion the kits for this upcoming season will contain 20 long burning candles, 20 weather resistant sacks and enough sand to weigh each sack in place. The cost per kit is $23, with the proceeds from each kit sold going directly to members of the Lone Peak Color guard. You may pre-order your kit now by sending a check or money order to: Luminaires 88 North 200 East Alpine, UT 84004 You may also reserve your kit online @ alpinelights.org , by signing the guestbook and providing your name, address, phone number and the number of kits desired. All pre-ordered kits will be available during our regular sales held at the Alpine City Hall, 20 N Main Street Alpine at the following dates and times. PICK UP TIMES: December 17th - 20th 4-6 pm December 21st 10-2 pm December 23rd 4-6 pm Please bring a 5 gallon bucket per kit with you to collect the sand for each of your Luminaries.
