For all those folks who ask about our few remaining 'manned' lighthouses on Vancouver Island; located on remote stretches of the coast they are often only accessible by grueling multi-day hikes, by water or by air. Thanks for keeping all the folks on the water safe for another year!

Upcoming trail project to connect Tofino and Ucluelet is in the early planning phases....nice to see such attention to detail from Parks staff and local community. Just think of all those great bike rides to and from our many beaches, something to look forward to this coming year!

Oooo so cool. Soundscape ecology is an amazing way to get a real sense of the health of an ecosystem; in this case it's a remote listening project based in Sydney Inlet, one of the finest examples of a Fjord on Vancouver Island!

So great to see folks volunteeering to reforest and restore a salmon spawning watershed! Thanks for everything that you do Central Westcoast Forest Society, the communities of Tofino and Ucluelet are in your debt!
