This fundamental concept acknowledges that individuals have overlapping identities, and these identities inform the way in which we move through and experience the world. We are all unique and complex beings. Understanding intersectionality helps us be more compassionate and empathetic towards the needs of others. Venn diagrams are often used to visualize intersectionality. Remember the impact of intersectionality when you make decisions that impact a community.
