BREAKING: Bank of Canada maintains overnight rate target at 1 per cent

OSFI finanlizes the new B-20 guidelines which will take effect on January 1st, 2018. One of the changes will be that all insured and uninsured mortgages will have to undergo a stress test and qualify at the greater rate of the Bank of Canada’s 5-year benchmark rate (currently 4.89%) or the contractual rate plus 2%.
