This 15 Year Memory was taken in 2014, right before Al started his run at the special task of heading our town of St. Marys for 2 fantastic terms now and running. I always joked that the image I took of him by the train station helped him win the first election by a landslide, but in reality it was this great family by his side that gave the push. I have said before that I have used every square inch in the area for a photo at one time or another. Well, I guess there are still a couple I haven't. I've eyed this spot for quite awhile, but it wasn't until Saturday that I actually used it for the first time. Thank you to the Rotarians and the Town of St. Marys for giving us all a spectacular end to 2020. It brought our little community together in spirit and gave us all something to cheer about. Take a bow, it couldn't of been more perfect:) Happy 2021!!

It's been a bit of a less eventful Christmas Season around here at LM. For almost the past 10, I have always been spending my weekends between the annual Santa at McCully's, corporate Christmas parties and flushing it all out hosting the evening gatherings at the Westover. This year, that has all stopped. Even Christmas dinner will be very sparse out at the home studio. It's not the way I would want it, but it is what life has dealt. It has given me a chance to look at wha...t is really important and I count my blessings everyday, knowing that I still have opportunity around every corner, I still have my health, I have strong commitment and love from family and friends and I have a community that possibly shines even brighter in this darker moment. Thank you! To add a lot of smiles, I have decided to reflect back on Christmases past through the smiles. screams, joy and horror of the children and the many Santas I have had over the last 8 holiday seasons out at McCully's Hill Farms. First, 2012, the rookie year we did one weekend before it really began to become a tradition. See you in 2021:)

I'm pretty sure these three have a great time playing together and I'm pretty sure they would love to be playing on a stage right now. The live music industry and all of its facets have been one of the hardest hit during this pandemic. I was lucky enough to have The Heartaches Stringband ask me to do some press for an upcoming virtual show. James and the husband-wife duo of Martin and Amanda, and their heartfelt Americana Country playing as the sun set on a picture perfec...t January evening gave me a great feeling of positivity and hope. The arts supporting the arts. The power of creativity on any platform is meant to inspire, to lift up, to overcome negativity and breed positivity. The 2 hours I spent with these 3 did just that. Thank you! Get out and support music any way you can! They need you! Buy their records, donate to their livestreams, share their message. If you have ever experienced that moment at a live show or driving in your car where that song, that smile, that energy all aligned, that rush you can't compare....then you have your answer why.

Part 3 of LM's look back at "Christmas Past" takes us to 2014, the first year we began bringing in Santa all the way from the Queen St. North Pole for 2 weekends and attendance started to take off:) **BTW..even though Santa, myself and Erin "Blitzen the Reindeer" couldn't see everybody this year, we still have time to make next year that much more special with a gift certificate from the studio, gift wrapped and delivered either electronically or in a good ol' fashioned envelope. Starting in 2007, LM's commercial and lifestyle end began to prosper, with inevitable spin-offs creating images for charities and fundraising efforts like this joint Pook Toque/Holy Name of Mary School one in 2011. Haha! How have these kids have grown! The oldest turning 21 this year, if my calculations are right! Make 2021 a LM Year..It's Time

Technically I started taking photos in a professional sense in 2003, with my first paid job that summer. I was shooting a Pentax 645 medium format analog camera, hand reeling the Ilford and Kodak film in the shadows and driving to Stan C. Reade in London to get my film developed. In my off time, enlarging some black and white with a B22 in my basement and hanging them to dry on a clothes line by the furnace. All now gone but the drive of LM. It grew and became a legit, f...ull time, tax paying, PPO card carrying, digital SLR snapping business in 2006, the year that officially started the path to where we are today. In 2021, I will be celebrating these 15 years of riding the wave of what is now a MUCH different livelihood than it was that decade and a half ago.
