Dine Strathcona / WISH Drop-In Centre From November 18 to 30 we’re participating in #DineStrathcona, along with other restaurants, cafes, and breweries across Strathcona. Each participating location is offering a feature dish, with $1 for each dish ordered during the campaign donated to @wishdropin . Diners across Vancouver can show their support for our Strathcona food and beverage sector, while helping raise funds for an incredible community organization. Stop on by the br...ewery and try our feature pizza, Funghi, made with tomato sauce, fior di latte, mushrooms, topped with goat cheese and truffle oil. Our feature dish is also available for online ordering (link in bio) for those who wish to support Dine Strathcona from the comfort of home. For almost 40 years, WISH Drop-In Centre has been a refuge and an essential point of contact for street-based sex workers who have been made vulnerable due to poverty, homelessness, trauma, violence, stigma, and a lack of access to supports and opportunities. Money raised during Dine Strathcona will help fund the critical services and resources WISH provides, including its 24-hour drop-in centre where they serve over 9000 meals a month, its emergency shelter, its Mobile Access Project Van, as well as WISH’s capacity-building programs. La Birra / Carolina e Ottavia 7% For week 2 and 3 of our anniversary month, our dual release is Carolina and Ottavia! Ottavia & Carolina, named after two of the owner’s twin daughters, are complex and playful beers that brings together grain and grape in a nod to the Italian Grape Ale style. Using the same base beers, with varying proportions, these beers were carefully blended to create variations that are uniquely their own. Borrowing process techniques from winemaking to i...ncorporate the use of Pinot Noir grapes with a mixed-culture barrel-aged golden ale allowed us to elevate each ingredient. Carolina is a blush-hued beer that has a vinous and spice aroma, followed by flavours of pear and rose petal with a citrus pith finish. Carolina is intriguing and sophisticated with balanced acidity. Ottavia is a ruby-hued beer that has fruit-forward aromas of ripe red berries, followed by flavours of raisin and pepper with a vinous finish. Ottavia is elegant and delicate with subtle acidity and gentle carbonation. ____ Both beers are now available in the tasting room. Just like the birth of twins, these bottles are SOLD TOGETHER. If Anique and Fede could not say no, neither can you haha! This beer is SUPER limited and will only be sold in the tasting room for a short time. Since we can't throw a rager or roast a whole pig, here's what we have planned instead: November 3rd begins the first week of our Anniversary Party Month! Each week we will have a limited bottle release (or 2!), a deliciously curated pairing menu by @mordimibiteofitaly (details below), exclusive beers on tap and a few secrets yet to be revealed!... For our first week, we are releasing one of our favourite barrel aged beers made with local fruit (more details on Thursday). This beer will open your Buon Compleanno pairing dinner and will include an appetizer, a main and dessert, each paired with a complimenting beer. The price is set at $45 per person and includes all of the above plus 10% off the purchase of up to 2 bottles. We encourage folks to make reservations as space is limited. A Note From Luppolo Where to begin.. We first want to say how grateful and thankful we are to be able to share space with all of you folks on the traditional, ancestral and unceded territories of the slilwta tmx Tsleil-Waututh, xmkymMusqueam and Skwxwú7mesh-ulh Temíxw Squamish peoples. We acknowledge that we are guests to this land and it is our responsibility to respect this land and to stand with the Indigenous Peoples who have protected it for millenia.... We also want to thank each and every one of you for your support, not only over the last 4 years, but during this year in particular. Il Vino / Natural Wine Now Serving Natural Wine at Luppolo! Our first bottle feature is from our great friends at @neoneonwine : ‘HORIZON’ 2019 by NEON EON... Horizon' is a red blend containing 50% Merlot, 30% Zweigelt, and 20% Syrah. It was made blending Merlot, which underwent 14 days of carbonic maceration, with crushed and destemed Zweigelt and Syrah that steeped together on skins for 7 days before going to press and completing its wild fermentation in neutral oak puncheons. This wine goes as deep as its colour, across the horizon, and into the unknown. Notes of bramble berries, anise, olive brine paired with a punch of acidity will draw you into the void! ___ These folks are currently sold out of all product until next year, so we are very fortunate to grab a case for the brewery. It is available by the bottle in the tasting room to be enjoyed with friends and a couple of @mordimibiteofitaly pizzas!
