Monday excitement- pitching a marketing strategy! This means I’m pulling together hopefully compelling ideas that will have them reply, Yes! That’s exactly what we need, especially when we’re not meeting in person at this time!.
For discussion: how do you see conflict?? I'm including this (hopefully) humorous bit on conflict in a piece I'm cooking up. Comments? Whaddya think? Taking a brief aside to bring conflict to life as a character, named Conflict, who wants to help, but is readily misunderstood and often avoided. Nice (a ‘good intentions’ character who wants agreement 24/7) pushed Conflict into a seat in the back corner, begging all the while for Conflict to just be quiet because it is an impor...tant meetingConflict tries to speak up anyway, but Nice shuts Conflict down every time! And Conflict had so much to say, like: But, I’m here to help! Wait! That’s not how I see it! I don’t think [issue/solution] is resolved That’s an incomplete set of facts That’s gonna sink us!!! and then something goes wrong, or off course, and Conflict is sitting with its arms folded muttering under its breath because all too used to being stifled: told you so I tried to help, but noooooo, now look where we are that’s what you get for avoiding me!!!. And this aside ends with Nice’s hands wringing, head shaking, trying to soothe everyone with well no one could have predicted this. And we see that Conflict, when welcome, has so much to offer.
