Heather. I bet if your name is Heather, this caught your attention! But were not talking about you today... were talking about flowers! The name of the heather flower stems from the Greek word kalluno. Meaning to cleanse or adorn. A fitting name considering at one time the heather flower was used to make brooms! Happy Monday! If you look closely at this bouquet, youll notice a dusting of flowers that have a beautiful pink-white colour to them. These flowers are called yarrow, and while they are commonly used as a filler in floral arrangements, they have some benefits all by themselves. Keep them in your home or office, as they can be known to help reduce anxiety and relieve high blood pressure! When more intensely broken down, yarrow is even used to make medicines.... Ever wondered what flowers can cause harm to your pets? Daffodils, although very beautiful, can be dangerous for your cats and dogs! Ingestion of the plant can cause some severe reactions, so its best to keep these flowers out of reach as best as you can.
