Happy New Year everyone, let's make 2021 a warm and wonderful time

So this one was a sad day for the family. At a boat access cottage in Algonquin Park I was asked to estimate for a fireplace insert. The love of the hearth at the cabin was quite evident from the carving in the mantel. I felt like the Grinch who just stole their Christmas when I showed them the charred wood in the wall and asked them to please stop using it. This one was a tough one to leave unsolved

Well my part is done and I think this one will be enjoyed a lot through the Christmas holidays. The owners still have some grouting to do and a few more tiles but I think they did an awesome job.

I can't wait until they're back at the cottage and enjoy this new installation.
