Another weekend of exciting performances is here! We continue working hard to exceed all guidelines and to provide a safe, comfortable, and entertaining experience at the theatre. Seats are spaced out and equipped with removable covers that are washed after each use, entrance and exit times are staggered, cleaning is extensive and continuous, and masks are required inside at all times. Our top priority is the health and safety of our patrons, staff, artists, and volunteers. ...Click here for details about what we are doing to help keep our community safe https://magnustheatre.com/covid-19-update/. Audition now for our 2020/2021 Magnus Theatre Young Company! Young Company begins on Wednesday, November 11th and runs until spring 2021, for ages 13 18. Why ...Join Magnus Theatre Young Company? Magnus Theatre is the only professional theatre between Winnipeg and Sudbury! We offer students the unique opportunity to learn about theatre in a welcoming and supportive space, guided by trained and experienced theatre professionals. Young Company gives participants a glimpse into the world of professional stage acting - from the audition process to the rehearsal hall and then performing for live audiences on the Magnus Theatre stage. Supported by Magnus’ team of professional designers and technicians, the cast will develop foundational theatre skills and then demonstrate what they’ve learned in a full-length production in spring 2021. How do I audition? We're shaking things up a bit this year - instead of holding auditions for Magnus Theatre Young Company in person, we're requesting self-tapes. So... what is a self-tape? A self-tape is a digital audition that the actor films on their own and then sends in remotely. They can be filmed with a phone, tablet, webcam or digital camera - whichever is more convenient for you. Accommodations can also be provided for those unable to make a self-tape. To request the audition package, please email [email protected] Meet the Director Danielle Chandler has held the position of Theatre in Education Director at Magnus Theatre since 2014.
