As the warmer weather is approaching, the MRCA Board of Directors is committed to working with our committees to have a 2021 Rodeo Season. While at this time we are all unsure what this will look like, our focus has been and will continue to be the ongoing support and promotion of Rodeo.

As many of you may be aware, conversations have been taking place between the CPRA, semi-pro, college and high school associations over the last few months with... a view to enhancing the cooperation between the various groups. This world in the last few months has become a completely different place and all sports, including rodeo, are facing challenges they have never faced. So maybe the time is right for conversations and new ways of thinking about the sport to take place. In addition to the informal committee that’s been formed, with representatives invited from each association, we wanted the general memberships from the various bodies to have an opportunity to bring forward thoughts and ideas that may help move this effort forward. Greater numbers can give our sport a strong voice with government, sponsors and other stake holders with a view to attracting increased corporate dollars and making our sport stronger and more sustainable. Among the ideas to consider: Increased continuity in the area of rules governing the sport Opportunities for joint or cross-promotion Enhancing our animal welfare profile with the general public Shared resources and technology in areas including communications, central entry systems, merchandise etc If you have thoughts and suggestions that you would like to put forward, please contact the event rep for your Association. ATTENTION BULL RIDERS!! Two night bull riding session in Elbow, SK on July 10&11. Entry info and entry dates below Friday July 10 - will be a 20 Long g...o, 6 Short go JUNIOR Bull Riding. Taking first 20 entries! Entry fees are $80 and you must be 18 years or younger as of Jan. 1st/2020. They will be CCA Novice caliber bulls. **Entries Monday June 29th 8am - Tuesday June 30th 8pm** Saturday July 11 - will be a 20 Long go, 6 Short go OPEN Bull Riding. Taking first 20 entries! Entry fees are $110 and you must be 18 years or or over as of Jan.1st/2020. These will be CCA open caliber bulls. **Entries Wednesday July 1 8am - Thursday July 2 8 pm** TEXT ONLY entries to 1-306-375-7323 No crossover entries. *Note: As of this time this is closed to the public and no spectators other than family members can be present. There will be a set group of guidelines we must follow that will be sent out to the riders.
