Is Throwback Friday a thing? Or am I a day late? I just found this painting in my files when I was looking at some photos, it sold a long time ago but I wonder what where it lives, what kind of room it’s in.... as artists we don’t always get to see that, especially when paintings sell though galleries or shows like this one did. @calladesignvictoria had sold it for me. (Miss you Janice!) I think ‘The Path’, as I had called this painting, would look great in this room with ...the red couch, don’t you think??. Have a wonderful weekend, any special plans? I will get outdoors as much as I can and go for a hike or walk, distanced of course from anyone that is not in my household. Let’s do it people!!!! Let’s stay apart now so we can be together later! . Calla Design me lo había vendido! Te extraño Janice! Creo que El Sendero, como yo había titulado este cuadro, se vería hermoso en esta habitación con ese sillón rojo, no les parece??. Qué tengan un hermoso fin de semana, tienen planes especiales? Yo voy a tratar de estar afuera lo que más pueda y voy a ir a caminar, por supuesto distanciada de cualquier persona que no sea de mi propio hogar. Vamos gente!! Isn't this the truth??? We just NEVER know how our actions may impact somebody without us even realizing it is happening. And it goes both ways, for the good and the bad stuff so let's be extra careful and mindful of what we say or do. Maybe we can start a wave of goodness today? Do it, send a message to someone you haven’t to for a while, pick up the phone and call a friend, or just smile to the next person you see in the street? That may be the best thing that happened to ...them today! Every single little thing matters. Have a great Thursday! No es esto verdad??? Háganlo, manden un mensaje a alguien, llamen algún amigo, o simplemente sonrían a la próxima persona que ven en la calle. Tal vez eso sea lo mejor que le ha pasado hoy a esa persona! My Inspiration Wall! I used to have just a couple of photos of artwork I liked up on the wall and one day several years ago, I gathered the guts to have my first consult with @dazed.and.confucius . I'm so happy I did! One of the suggestions she had for me was to make my inspiration wall much bigger. So slowly I started adding photos, all by other artists, a collection of work I love, each of them for a different reason. Sometimes while I'm painting now, I'll look at them and... they'll remind me of ceratin things I may forget as I paint, they give me courage to try to make the changes I want to do in my art. They inspire me to do different things, like using the brush duct-taped to a long stick I am holding in the photo..... but that’s for another post! I love my wall, thank you PL for pushing me to make it bigger :) Mi pared de inspiración! Solía tener sólo un par de fotos de cuadros de otros artistas que a mí me gustaban hasta que un día, hace varios años tomé el coraje para tener mi primera consulta con Pennylane. Estoy tan contenta de haberlo hecho! Una de las sugerencias qué ella hizo ese día fue hacer esa pared de inspiración mucho más grande. Y le hice caso! Estas fotos son de obras por otros artistas, una colección de arte que me encanta, cada uno de ellos por distintas razones. Muchas veces mientras pinto, las miro y me hacen recordar de ciertas cosas que tal vez me estoy olvidando mientras pinto, me dan coraje a tratar de hacer los cambios que quiero hacer en mi arte. November tends to be the month of the year when we have the most storms in Victoria. Right now we are in between systems, we’ve had 2 big storms these last few days and the next one is supposed to get here in a few hours. We usually have strong winds and lots of rain so I’m glad we were able to enjoy a dry walk yesterday during the break. As you can see, there’s almost no leaves left on the trees but the forest is still so beautiful. I’m ready for the week ahead. On Mondays I... usually write a list of things I want to accomplish during the coming week, then later on on Friday I come back to it and check what got done and what needs to be moved to the next one. I think I have mentioned I LOVE lists, they help me stay focused and on track. Are you a list maker? (And do you actually look at the lists? What are you up to this week? Noviembre suele ser el mes del año que tiene más tormentas aquí en Victoria. En este momento estamos en el medio de varias tormentas y la próxima va a llegar dentro de unas horas. Normalmente tenemos vientos muy fuertes y mucha lluvia así que estoy muy contenta de haber podido disfrutar de una caminata seca ayer durante uno de estos intermedios. Cómo pueden ver, ya casi no quedan hojas en los árboles pero el bosque es hermoso de todas formas. Estoy lista para esta semana que viene. Los lunes normalmente escribo una lista de todas las cosas que quiero hacer esta semana, después los viernes me fijo qué fue lo que se hizo y qué tengo que trasladar a la semana siguiente. Creo que ya he mencionado que me ENCANTAN las listas, me ayudan a mantenerme en el camino adecuado y ser más productiva. Le gusta hacer listas? Y las miran después de haberlas escrito? Qué planes tienen para esta semana?

Wouldn’t this painting looks wonderful in this room??? It really brings the outdoors and the feel of our coast into this space. We can remember summer and special times as we share dinner. Art can be powerful in that way, right? It can take you back to other times and places. I had wanted to paint the sky in a much softer way than I usually do and I’m so glad I did, I'm glad with how it feels. Podemos recordar el verano y momentos especiales mientras comemos. El arte puede ser muy poderoso en este sentido, no es cierto? Puede transportaros a otros momentos y lugares.. Había querido pintar el cielo de una forma mucho más suave de lo que normalmente hago y estoy contebta con como quedó. "Nubes del Pacifico" es un óleo de 76x101 cm y es parte de la Muestra Online de la Federación de Artistas cCanadienses. Hay un link en mi sitio para ver la muestra completa. Vayan a ver! Forget it enough to get over it, remember it enough so it doesn’t happen again. I don’t know who said this but loved it when I saw it today. I’m so grateful for all those that fought and still fight for freedom, good and truth in our world. I am so excited to have hit send on that email this morning to release my first official collection!! It went to my email subscribers who have first dibs at my work and the best part is that some paintings have already found new homes :) Like this one, it sold in the first few minutes and there were two collectors wrestling for it. Why is it that some paintings can be sold several times??? THANK YOU so much for supporting my collection release. I've very grateful to ev...eryone that cheered me on, sent me back emails with lovely comments and encouragement and of course to the ones that choose some potted plants to go home with you! Thank you also to my fellow artists that inspired, helped, proofed and answered my many questions! So grateful! Estoy tan contenta de haber apretado enviar en ese e-mail esta mañana para lanzar mi primer colección oficial!! eso fue para lista de e-mail que reciben primera información sobre mi trabajo y lo mejor es que ya algunos cuadros ya han encontrado hogares nuevos. :) Como este, se vendió en 14 minutos y había dos coleccionistas luchando por el mismo cuadro. Por qué es que algunos cuadros se pueden vender varias veces? Muchísimas gracias a todos aquellos que me apoyaron en esta lanzamiento! A todos los que me alentaron, me mandaron mensajes de vuelta con hermosos comentarios y por supuesto a todos los que eligieron llevarse algunas macetas a su casa!
