Dear friends and supporters, Almost exactly two years ago today we took possession of the space on Victoria Street that would become the Causerie. With the help of our community, we turned it into a beautiful place that was becoming a home for many. It is with deep sadness that we are letting you know the Causerie will not be re-opening in its location on Victoria Street. This has not been an easy year for most, and we know we're not the only organization impacted in such a ...fashion. When the pandemic arrived, we'd been open not quite 18 months, and due to COVID-19 and a number of other factors beyond our control, this decision has become necessary. A few people have reached out to see if we might consider offering our work online, and we do know that what we offer is likely more needed than ever these days. For now, we simply do not have the capacity to pivot and explore these options - family obligations and the need to take on paid work have been consuming our time and energy. We are considering our work with Marit Collective to simply be on hold for the moment, and in time we hope to see a way forward to continue (and we are happy to hear ideas from the community on this too). Thank you so much for your understanding, and support. We send our love and gratitude as always, and know that we will find you in future. Until then, please take good care of yourselves, your loved ones, and be well. Stephanie & CJ
