The CJHA is hosting its fall Facebook auction! Funds will go towards supporting junior programming throughout the year for our Canadian Hereford youth. Bidding ...will run from November 22nd (tomorrow) at 9am MT to November 25th at 5pm MT. Items include: - Jewelry and apparel - Food - Kitchenware - Art - And more! Hey juniors!!! Just a reminder that our AGM is Sunday night at 7:00. The zoom invite will be sent out tomorrow evening so here's a few things you need to do before you can participate in our meeting... First you need to become a member and to have paid your 2021 activity fee ($25). If you would like to join, or pay your fee, you will need to contact the Canadian Hereford Association at 1-888-836-7242 and they can help you. Congratulations to all the juniors who made the trip to Sussex NB!! With the situation with Covid 19 so unstable in the province, it unsure if the event would even happen so we see thankful to all those who could attend and sadly missed those who couldn't! Huge thank you to Trevor Welch , our judge Sunday for our little show! The members had beautiful cattle to showcase our breed! Congratulations to Daniel Naddy on winning both Grand champion female as well as grand champ...ion showperson! Reserve grand champion showperson went to Molly Loane, and Reserve grand champion female went to Jack Raymond! A very special thank you to our show sponsors, Maritime Hereford Association, AXA Polled Herefords, Blk Homestead Farms, and Earlybird Farm as well as Stephani Barkhouse-Allison with Green Diamond Equipment for their support! Without you, this wouldn't have been possible! We had a great planning meeting and we are optimistic on the future of our association as we had a large group attend and momentum is building as we discussed Bonanza 2022 and 2023 and fundraising for these events!!! Hi everyone. With the new protocols that te Government of New Brunswick has implemented in the last week, some may have questions about this weekend. Please do not hesitate to ask me if you are still on the fence about coming. The NB Beef Ezpo committee have been working overtime with public health, the PLP Show Centre, as well as exhibitors to make this a safe and fun weekend for everyone! Looking forward to seeing you all That being said, if you are planning on attending, whether it be the whole weekend, or just our AGM on Saturday evening, could you please message me with your plans? If we don't have enough members in attendance, we will be forced to have our AGM online again this year so it's important you let me know who is coming. Hey juniors and junior supporters! The MJHA is excited to announce a fundraiser we will be doing throughout the entire month of March! We have partnered with Ranch Life Wild Rags to sell some BEAUTIFUL wild rags. They are basically a western style scarf. Great for keeping you...r neck warm in winter or for drawing attention in the show ring. This is going to be a great fundraiser for our Maritime juniors! We have our sights set on a trip to 2022 Bonanza in Lindsay and this is one of the fundraisers that is going to get us there! Some of our Maritimers might even recognize a Hereford or two on some of the rags.

UPDATE for Junior VIRTUAL show Participants! Will be posting details instructions on How to Enter this week! DEADLINE will be Sunday September 27th! 3 weeks away!

The MJHA will be holding our AGM the first week of September. We will be holding the meeting in a different format this year because of the Covid 19 restrictions. It will be a Facebook format. We will hold this meeting over a 4 day span and will create a group for the MJHA 2020 AGM, simlilar to how the CJHA held their AGM in July. During this meeting , we will discuss fundraising ideas, reports, and nominating our new executive and a national delegate(s). To be a n...ational delegate for the CJHA, you must be at least 17 years of age, an active member of the CJHA, and willing to assume the all responsibilities held in this position. Nominations will be accepted until August 25, 2020. Nominations can only be made by active CJHA members, which means you need to pay your activity fee directly through the CHA office in Calgary Once nominations are in, the candidates will be asked to write short essay on why they want to be a delegate, what they can offer, and what they would like to see for the Maritimes for representation at the national level. (For more information on this, please contact me ) To participate in the agm in any way, you need to be an active member of the CJHA. Once I have confirmed you have your activity fee is paid, your name will be added to the group to hold the meeting Looking forward to lots of nominations!!!!
