Today we remember all those who have sacrificed so we can live in peace. Lest we forget.

Whoop Whoop! Another aquatic barrier removed! A great example of collaboration and persistence. After many years of being used for a swimming area, Municipality... of Grey Highlands, Saugeen Conservation The Rotary Club Of Markdale and Trout Unlimited Canada-Happy Trout, the Rotary Park dam was removed and stream rehabilitated! Rural towns and villages settled along creeks and rivers that could be dammed for power generation and providing drinking water and recreational opportunities. Some historical location choices create issues today as settlement occurred in a flood plain. Across Ontario, dams are being removed as they inhibit fish migration, impact water quality and alter aquatic habitat. #waterquality #healthylakehuron #landtolake #pieceofthepuzzle

Tonight, our very own Rotaract Highlanders presented the fund from their fundraising efforts to the Chapman House Hospice! An incredible grand total of $23,298.20 Our club is very proud of them!
