Inspirational Monday Story - Meet Ira, a licensed Architect in the Philippines. Ira moved to Canada in 2016 where her license, education and work experience spent in almost 10 years aren’t equivalent to being a Registered and Licensed Canadian Architect. -... Ira had to hustle with a few jobs unrelated to her profession until she finally landed a job as an Architectural technologist for 2 years now. - Ira knew that she had to undergo through the process again of going to Architecture school to upgrade her credentials for a full-pledged Architect in Canada. Indeed, it is another hurdle in her life being an immigrant, and she felt unproductive. - As time passes by, her dreams are getting bigger but time is taking her dreams for herself and her family away from reality. Like any family, they also experienced some financial struggles at some points and so she wanted to give back to her parents and allow them to have a happy retirement. - Late last year, Ira realized that she should make use of her time wisely. She’s still young and has a long way to go. She was online a lot and so she thought why not find a business online. It was just the right timing when a fellow alumnus added her to a certain group page about being an Online Entrepreneur. Out of curiosity, she explored its possibilities and took the first step. - Being with the business, Ira has transformed into a more confident, optimistic and grateful person. She learned that she could be a bigger person chasing her bigger dreams. She finally found her life’s purpose and that she could foresee achieving her goals through this business. Her work experience includes being a Call Center Supervisor/Manager for more than ten years in the Philippines, a Sales Coordinator in an airline in Dubai, UAE, a Collections Officer and a part-time Interviewer at Statistics Canada and currently a Claims Rep in a Crown Corporation. She came to know about the online business in 2018 thru an FB ad but was only convinced to join in 2019 when she learned that their wedding sponsors are part of the business and having great results. Without doubt anymore, she jumped in and joined for two reasons. First, she was having two jobs then and was barely spending time with friends and family, especially her husband (just got married ). Most of the times, she was missing out on important occasions in favor of her two jobs. Second, she wanted to supplement their income because they were supporting their respective families back home and yet they have a $58k debt to pay in car loan. So, how did this business change her life? The online business has enabled her to get away from her 2nd job and just do her full-time job. Now, she spends more time together with her husband enjoying their roles as husband and wife in its truest sense! She also now finds more time to connect with her loved ones and they are still able to support their respective own families back home. Btw, what happened to their car loan? Yeah, they were able to make a big payment to their car loan with almost two-thirds of the loan amount paid already. Cool! On top of the above-mentioned changes in her life, the business has also helped her gain friends worldwide thru the online space.
