What do YOU get for $32? You get way more than just a cleaning. Medical/Dental History + Cultural/Personal Assessment - A series of forms we fill out to get contact information, medical/dental history, and learn a little bit more about your oral health and lifestyle.... Radiographic Needs Assessment + Take X-Rays - We will look over your dental history and determine if you need any additional x-rays. All x-rays are prescribed by the dentist. IO/EO Photos - The before photos, we take twelve (extra-oral & intra-oral) photos. Intra-Oral + Extra-Oral Examination - I will assess the status of your head, neck, and mouth, I will also check for any signs of oral cancer. Caries Risk Assessment - We will determine how at risk you are at developing cavities with a series of questions. Hard Tissue Charting - On an odontogram, I will draw in any fillings, cavities, or significant findings on each tooth. Checked/signed off by a dentist. Plaque Index (Three Times) - I will put a disclosing agent on six teeth in your mouth. This agent (temporarily) shows us how much plaque you have on each tooth. Periodontal Assessment - I will assess the status of your teeth + gums. This is where we determine if you have periodontitis or bone loss. Alginate Impressions (If Needed) - If you qualify for whitening trays or sports guard, I will take an alginate impression which will give me an accurate model of your teeth and gums. DHD + DHI + Treatment Planning - This is where we go over your treatment plan, along with what to expect in the following appointments. Debridement - The moment you’ve been waiting for, I will remove any plaque or calculus that may be present in your teeth. Sealants (If Needed) - We will place any sealants needed on your teeth. Polishing (If Needed) - I will polish your teeth to remove any stain remaining after debridement (plaque/calculus removal). IO/EO Photos - The after photos, we will see the difference in your smile! Fluoride Varnish Treatment (If Needed) - For patients w/ a high risk for cavities, you will receive fluoride treatment which is meant to protect your teeth and prevent future cavities. Continuing Care Interval Determined - We will determine how much time is needed before your next visit. Exit Survey Form - You will fill out a survey on your experience at TCDHA with me as your DHS.

What are sealants? Sealants are a thin, plastic coating painted on the chewing surfaces of teeth -- usually the back teeth (the premolars and molars) -- to prevent tooth decay. The sealant quickly bonds into the depressions and grooves of the teeth, forming a protective shield over the enamel of each tooth. Sealants are only $10! Find out if you are eligible today.

Are you brushing/flossing your teeth wrong? Each patient will receive a thorough oral self-care presentation to ensure the correct techniques are being used.

FAQ: Q: Why does it take 4-6 appointments and why are they roughly 2 hours each? A: You receive your dental cleaning in a school setting, meaning all of my work is checked by dentists and registered hygienists on site. You also receive way more than a dental cleaning. You get a periodontal assessment, an oral cancer screening, polishing, fluoride treatment and more! ... Q: Do I pay $32 for every appointment? A: No, all prices are one-time payments. Children (3-11) pay $27, and adults pay $32. Q: Do you offer any additional services besides fluoride, polishing, cleaning, periodontal assessments, and oral cancer screenings? A: Absolutely, here is a list of all the other services I have available at an additional cost. - Sealants: $10 - X-Rays: $5 per x-ray, there is no additional charge if we must take over $35 worth of x-rays. - Customized Whitening Trays: $80 - Customized Sports Guards: $30 Q: What are sealants?
