Cherries are a good source of vitamin C, potassium, fiber, and other nutrients that your body needs to function optimally. They are also high in antioxidants and anti-inflammatory compounds, which may reduce chronic disease risk and promote overall health. What’s more, cherries are rich in powerful polyphenol antioxidants, including anthocyanins, flavonols, and catechins, which may help keep your heart healthy by protecting against cellular damage and reduc...ing inflammation. There are so many exciting ways to add cherries into your food in addition to smoothies such as: Enjoy them fresh as a sweet snack. Make a cherry compote or jam and spoon on yogurt, oatmeal, or chia pudding. Add halved cherries to a fruit salad. Add a bit of tart cherry juice to sparkling water and top with a lemon wedge for a fun mocktail. Link to study: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3513903/ See more
When you are under stress, your breathing becomes shallow and irregular, largely because the muscles of the torso - principally, the diaphragm - become tense and unstable to move thorough their entire range. You breathe higher up in the chest and don’t draw breaths deep into the lungs... But slow, rhythmic pranic breathing helps remedy all these situations. It relaxes the muscles of the torso, restores flexibility to the diaphragm... The result is a calming effect, as well as a buildup of energy. The Power of Prana by @masterco_org Reminder: pranic breathing refers to slow, mindful, breathing from the belly.

You have probably heard some version of the following: you can live 3 weeks without food, 3 days without water, but only 3 minutes without breathing before nerve cells began to die and there is loss of brain and organ function that may be irreversible. Yet we hardly pay any attention on the most nourishing and important part of cell health. As a result most people are not breathing properly. This means they breathe not by moving their abdomen out and in b...ut by moving their chest and ribs out and in and their collarbones up and down. Additionally, most people breathe too quickly. The average breathing rate is twelve to sixteen cycles (inhalations and exhalations) per minute - which is actually on the verge of hyperventilation... this self-manufactured oxygen shortage will trigger, in many people, the body’s fight-or-flight reflect, which causes a whole cascade of physiological, biochemical, and energetic changes... that prepare you to physically defend yourself or to run away. - The Power of Prana by @masterco_org A continuous, self made cycle of hyperventilation and hypertension is not sustainable and is causing physiological harm to our body. Take time everyday, just two minutes to start, to watch your belly rise slowly as you inhale and watch it come down slowly as you exhale. The more you do it consciously, the easier it becomes. The easier it becomes, the more habitual it becomes. See more
Food is the most powerful drug on the planet. It can improve the expression of thousands of genes, balance dozens of hormones, optimize tens of thousands of protein networks, reduce inflammation, and optimize your microbiome (gut flora) with every single bite. It can cure most chronic diseases; it works faster, better, and cheaper than any drug ever discovered; and the he only side effects are good ones - prevention, reversal, and even treatment of disease, not to mention vibrant optimal health. Yet, sadly, doctors learn almost nothing about nutrition in medical school. Dr. Mark Hyman in Food We have to look at the root of diseases and treat the why of the illness as opposed to the what.

Breath is life. So let's breathe!!! Pranayama Breathing (Standing Deep Breathing) is good for lungs and respiratory system. Coming from the words Prana (meaning: life force) and Yama (meaning: control), this posture initiates breath control that creates a bridge between the physical body and mind to encourage equilibrium between the two. This breathing exercise prepares increases the blood circulation in the entire body and wakes up all the muscles in the body preparing them ...for whatever you have in store for them Because of sedenatry habits, most people use only ten percent of thier lung capacity. Our back is hunched, our shoulders are rounded in and our chest is collapsed. As a result, people are more susptible to breathing problems like asthma, shortness of breath, etc. Standing Deep Breathing teaches us to use 100% lung capacity, expanding the rib cage, opening the shoulders and strenghtening the spine. Over time, the lungs become more elastic and capable of greater expansion. In doing so, it helps prevent respiratory problems. What are you waiting for? Take 2 minutes of your day and breathe.
