Following the new Provincial regulations, the Harry J. Enns Wetland Discovery Centre is temporarily closed to the public beginning Sunday, May 9, due to the pub...lic health risks associated with COVID-19. The Oak Hammock Café will be open for take-out only from Thursday through Sunday. Pre-booked guided outdoor programs such as birding walks and canoe rentals will still be delivered with reduced capacity. Please note that the trails remain open at this time. We encourage you to check the Centre’s website and social media channels for up-to-date information. We really appreciate your support and understanding during this challenging time, and we look forward to welcoming you again.

The province has clarified that we are able to offer CurbSide Service ONLY at this time. Please hold your item(s) as you did before either online with your Library Card (gfrl.org) or call us at (204) 482-3522 and we can do it for you. Thank you!

Following the new public health orders, the library will be closed to the public starting Tuesday, May 11th. Contactless pickup will be available and eLibrary s...ervices will continue. Our other services will also be available printing, photocopying, faxing and scanning. Please contact us for scheduling and pricing of those services. The outdoor return chute will remain open during the closure. All pickup orders will be set up with appointments and placed in the front foyer on the day of appointment. When picking up orders, we kindly ask everyone to continue practicing social distancing if arriving at the same time as others. Today we opened a new primary care clinic in Winnipeg Beach, to help people in the area with their everyday health care needs. Thank you to the Town of Winnipeg... Beach for supporting this initiative. Having a new clinic close to home is more than a matter of convenience for people in the community, said Connie Nixon, clinical team manager for primary health care. Easily accessible and regular, ongoing care from the same care providers can prevent more serious health problems and reduce the need for hospital and emergency department visits.
