Harvest Jazz & Blues has become a central part of our City’s culture and identity. Although it will look different this year, I’m so happy that the organizing committee has found an innovative way to bring us together to safely kick loose during the pandemic. Can’t wait to tune in!

It has been two years since our community was deeply shaken by the fatal shooting of Constable Sara Burns, Constable Robb Costello, Bobbie-Lee Wright and Donald Robichaud. Although the pain from that terrible day remains with us, we can take great comfort in knowing that when times get tough, Fredericton pulls together. Our thoughts are with the friends and families of those we lost that day, and the first responders who keep us safe in our community.

It’s great to see The Ville’s iGenNB intergenerational living pilot project beginning to take shape. Last year, I was pleased to offer my support for this initiative as it sought funding from the Healthy Seniors Pilot Project a program delivered by our federal government in 2018. I look forward to seeing the positive examples of healthy living and learning that this program will offer our community.
