CERB is coming to an end on Sept 28 after which EI eligible workers will transition to EI. Three new benefits were announced today: - Canada Recovery Benefit for self-employed workers ... will provide up to $400 a week for 26 weeks; - Canada Recovery Sickness Benefit will provide workers who are ill or self-isolating due to Covid-19 with $500 per week up to 2 weeks; - Canada Recovery Caregiving Benefit is for workers who must stay home to care for a child under 12 or another dependent because their school, daycare or other day program facility is shut down due to Covid-19. They can access $500 per week for up to 26 weeks per household.
