Manitoba Criminal Justice Association 23.11.2020

This week is Restorative Justice Week in Canada and throughout the world! Restorative Justice is a philosophy and an approach that views crime and conflict as harm done to people and relationships. It is a non-adversarial, non-retributive approach to justice that emphasizes healing in victims, accountability of offenders, and the involvement of citizens in creating healthier, safer communities. The goal is to reach meaningful, satisfying, and fair outcomes through inclusion, ...open communication, and truth. Many of our partners are hosting events to raise awareness about Restorative Justice initiatives, share experiences about how they have helped people change their lives for the better, and how Restorative Justice can help to break barriers to meaningful reconciliation. Information about this week's scheduled events can be found in the following image. We hope that you are interested in learning more about Restorative Justice programs in Manitoba and will join our partners for an exciting week!
