Yesterday was a cold one ...but that didn’t stop our awesome volunteers from coming out to the farm! Volunteers helped to harvest over a 100 pounds of storage carrots. These carrots will store for months and will be used in our preserves, fermented products and emergency soup stock for neighbours this winter! ... Stay warm out there!

AND that’s a wrap This year has definitely been a different market for us, given the circumstances...but we couldn’t have done it without you! Thank you to all of our wonderful volunteers, neighbours and customers for coming to our market this season and supporting our community farm through buying our veggies or volunteering their time. We did it We harvested the last bed of carrots at the farm, though these ones were much smaller this time Volunteers came out last night for our second last volunteer session of the season. ... We are always so grateful for our volunteers and their help, as we close the farm up for the season.

Volunteers Shona and RuthAnn harvested the last of our potatoes It was their first time digging potatoes and they did an amazing job! Thanks again to the Kitchen Garden at Dundurn National Historic Site for sharing five varieties of heirloom seed potatoes with the urban farm back in June. ... With the help of many volunteers, we have harvested over 350 lbs of potatoes for the Mcquesten community
