All of us, at The Door of Hope, would like to thank everyone who donated to our food bank and kitchen, today. We've had generous donations today from The Eatery on Main, the Flying Dust Health Staff at MLTC, as well as the Flying Dust Community, and the Playcorner Childcare families and staff who all did a food drive and delivered it to us. We'd also like to thank the Grace United Church for their generous monthly donations, as well. This is truly and greatly appreciated, and will help alot of families in need. This was truly a blessed day

Today's lunch is Pork Roast w/mashed potatoes & carrots, with corn on the cob and a bun...Childrens lunch is a hot dog w/ either tater tots or perogies, yogurt, a cheese string and an orange.

Today's meal is a big one, we make 80 Adult everyday and 35 Children's Lunches...so if you have a big family to feed and little extra income...this might help to supplement to groceries :) Today for the Children, we've got Chicken with yogurt, fruit and a treat. Adult's Lunch consists of Seasoned Pork, Jasmine rice (a bit sticky) and peas & carrots w/a bun, beets salad, a fruit and a dessert. Pick up only...and we've also got tons of bread, buns and other free items on the tables. So, feel free to stop in from 12 pm till 2 pm

I know we havent posted much, lately bc weve been so busy with the pick up meal service, my apologies for that. If anyone is interested in donating pasta and pasta sauce for our kitchen, it would be very appreciated. Weve had requests for spaghetti and meat sauce but were very limited on those, bc those items are mainly used for the food hampers. Today's lunch for the Adult meal, comes with coleslaw and a fruit bowl and a dessert, from 12 pm till 2 pm. We also have bread, buns, hot dog buns, hamburger buns and na'an bread to give away. There are also tons of books and clothing and some household items that are all free, with some sweaters and jackets :) hope you all have a wonderful rest of your day.

How disappointing that someone went to the time and effort to egg our windows. How sad that our hardworking staff had to waste time this morning scraping dried eggs off the windows instead of preparing food for the hungry. Whoever did this - we will pray for you. ... Obviously you are in a dark place that you would desire to cause someone else trouble. The world has enough evil and trouble in it without your participation. Please do better things with your life! We are working hard here to FEED people and show them some love and compassion. You should do that same! #weblessthosethatcurseus

We love our community of friends at the Door of Hope deeply, and our deepest desire is to be able to continue services as normal, but in light of the current covid-19 crisis we are aware of the need to limit the ability of this virus to spread. Today was a success and wed like to thank Louise Merasty for helping to make half of the Fry Bread, was much appreciated This Fundraiser was done on short notice (5 days) but everyone at The Door, managed to pull together (including the volunteers) and made it extra special and had fun doing it. Thank you to Peggy Cardinal, Elizabeth, Eldon Hill Jr. (Volunteers) for pitching in and giving us your time, it was also very appreciated. The Fundraiser was a success and we look forward to having more in the future.
