Do you remember having to learn all the trees at school?

Roasting garden tomatoes with fresh basil, oregano, olive oil and garlic, to be made into sauce and canned. This was the first year I tried this and it truly makes the best sauce! It’s a great way to preserve a great bounty of tomatoes.

Did you know Figs are not technically a fruit, they are a flower that blooms externally which is pollinated by specific wasps corresponding to 80,000 species of... wild figs. The female wasp crawls inside after pollination and dies while her young pupate, and once they emerge she is absorbed into the Fig. Isn't that cooool. See more
