Peewee passed out from a treat coma while Milo waits for him to wake up
Just got another wonderful review of our Bed and Breakfast. We are so grateful to be attracting those that seek the wellness that exists here and there and everywhere around us!
Junior ! Still our very reliable carry along
Tomorrow! Sunday 1-3 pm we’ll be having an Open Barn Door Day. *Please comment or send a message if you plan on visiting so that we can keep track of numbers. Treats are wonderful! Fruit and veggie scraps. Roads side gathered apples. Stale breads, crackers and cereal are also a big hit. We look forward to sharing an afternoon of wandering the paddocks and forest with our free ranging Farmily.
Archie had a bit of a rough day
Just a typical afternoon on the farm
Birthday visit today was beautiful.
My Selfies today
We lost our beautiful Rosie today. Her companions were Seymour and our Rooster Grant. She never slept with flock. She lived with the pigs until Grant came along this spring. He and her set up a home together above the pigs house and she blossomed into such a Happy and friendly girl. She layed her eggs each morning in with Seymour and he’d eat them for breakfast. She’d ride on Molly B’s back and Jason’s shoulder and what she loved most of all was to fall asleep in the arms of our visitors. We shall miss her very much. Jason found her alone in the sheep’s pen this morning , like she’d just gone to sleep. There were no wounds or signs of distress and she’d been well and wonderful just the day before. Rest in the feathery clouds beautiful girl.
Is he coming ? Selfie of the day
Our Boy Oscar giving so much love to our Birthday guest. It’s really beautiful to be part of the experience of when Oscar is so charming. He exudes a joy that gets right into you. The way he knows his name and the way he knows what the words I love you mean. What a beautiful visit today.
Wonderful birthday visit today with my new friend Courtney. Watch for Rita, Rita, Rita to run by. The chickens I can’t tell apart! I’ve never seen Anna, our Mother of the herd lay down for love. This was a very beautiful experience because Anna came to live with us just a few weeks after she lost one of her twin girls. We were just going to bring her little bean kid home with us, but they were inseparable and so Anna and her baby have been living with us for a few years now and to see her so calm and trusting is such a gift.
Oscar behaves just like a dog ... watch and listen Amazing !
Things Jason and I don’t agree on. Sound on on ; hope you get a chuckle !
Oscar and Jason having a chat
Oscar enjoying unfried green tomatoes.
Me and Dusty pretending we are in a storybook. Or are we?
Had some apples in my basket that I tossed to Oscar before I took a walk into the forest.
Oscar having a scratch. He’s become more aware of his horns and all the uses lately. I sometimes try to imagine if we had chosen to de horn Oscar, if he would be as curious in nature and as happy as he is. He uses his horns for many necessities; to bend branches to eat and share the leaves. He uses his horns to scratch the places his hooves and tongue can’t reach, he uses his horns to nudge his Farmily members out of the way at feeding time, he’s even used his horn to open a gate. I’m happy he’s got his horns! Although I need to be very cautious, I never get the feeling he knows that his horns can be used to fight off danger, because he’s never felt a moment of fear in his life.
Oscar plays ball?
Watch the children ... they so enjoy tactile interaction. To see their smiling faces and hear their laughter and all their questions and curiosities was a welcomed gift. This is just a few minutes of Open Barn Door Day today. Jason and I are so grateful tonight.
What a beautiful day of fun and free ranging with friends new and old! It was so nice to see some familiar faces and the gifts of food for the Animals they brought. We were blessed with a perfect day.
We’re just waiting on some friends! Open Barn Door Day 1-3 TODAY!
Oscar checking in on Lovely
Milo sure enjoys his role of watching over his flock of Farmily members. He’s a champion of charisma with a spark of spunk.
