The Met 25.10.2020

In this week’s sermon, The Judgment and Mercy of God from Genesis 19, Pastor Jonathan shares these words: Friends, I wonder if you have heard the warning of the judgment that is to come. I wonder if you have taken that warning seriously before now. Perhaps you’ve never heard it before, maybe that’s the case for some listening today. Or perhaps you’ve heard it but honestly you have paid little attention to it. Whatever the case may be for you personally, the account is here ...in large part to urge each one of us to take seriously the warning, to flee to Jesus Christ for refuge, for forgiveness, for safety, in the judgment that is to come. If you haven’t done that, let me urge you, let me plead with you franklywould you run to Jesus Christ for safety, would you receive the forgiveness that He offers? He welcomes anyone- whatever our sin, whatever our record, whoever we are, whatever we’ve done- He died that we who deserve the judgment of God (and that’s all of us), He died that we might be forgiven. He died that we might be spared the judgment to come because He has taken our judgment at the cross, He died that we might be welcomed to His eternal Kingdom. Would you take seriously the warning that is the judgment that is to come? Would you flee to Jesus Christ, even today? If you want to know more about how you can experience this refuge, forgiveness, and safety, we want to hear from you. You can head over to our website and select I Need Prayer for a member of our MetCare team to contact you, or you can get in touch with the church office at 613-238-8182. If these questions are stirring in your head and in your heart, please don’t wait to reach out. If you haven't yet checked out this week's sermon, it's not too late. As we continue our journey through the world of Met Missions, we are pleased to share a small glimpse of the work that is happening in Europe and Latin America through our Met Missionaries. Many of them will agree that the support they receive from the Met is an integral part in the gospel reaching these nations, and we couldn't accomplish any of it without you. If you'd like to know more about how you can support our missionaries and the work they do through prayer and encouragement, connect with [email protected]!
