Long Day, but I found time to work on this piece of the incredible Matt Aucoin from... CaperCon 2019? Needless to say this one took too long to finish (my bad!) Hoping to have more of him and his partner Nikki Aucoin soon - enjoy!

Overdue work with the super awesome Miranda Pike and Scott MacKeigan or in this photo, Megara and Hercules @ CaperCon 2019. I really miss doing this type of work - more to come!

It's hard to justify paying for a studio when you can't shoot photos in it. So we packed it up and cleared out. Michael Carty Photography is still humming, just not in the studio for the time being. We had some great times here making memories and had plans for future projects too. Hopefully we'll be back. ... Stay safe everyone.

Hello Folks, due to deep reflection on my schedule and life priorities, I will be scaling back my services to only weddings, events, corporate headshots, commercial work and my own creative projects. Sessions that are currently booked will be fulfilled but I won't be taking any others except for the ones posted above moving forward. Deepest thanks to all the incredible friends, family and clients that have supported me and my work throughout the years. I truly appreciate the ...moments we made together and hope to make more in my new focus. Thank you all.

Hello folks, In keeping with recommendations from the province regarding Covid-19, Michael Carty Photography will not be taking any bookings until the end of April 2020. Our studio space will be closed this week and we will be working from home. We will continue to monitor the current situation and will update you with any changes.... After years of sitting on a concept and a year of non-creative work, I'm pushing myself to complete it. I'm looking for individuals that currently suffer from o...ne form or another of mental health issues to be my models as this is a series. I understand the resistance that may be felt making yourself vulnerable in this way (I do and have suffered from anxiety and depression for many years), and I'm hoping to get everyone involved in a way that makes them feel 100% comfortable in contributing. If we pull this off the way I imagine, it will be a beautiful thing we've created together. I'll be touching base with some individuals that I know may be interested, but I would love to have you DM me if you'd like to hear more and/or contribute. Thank you.
