It is still important to practice social distancing and it may be wise not to share tools at this time, however you CAN visit our beloved midland community gardens and get your nature fix. Spring is always a beautiful time in the gardens. Don’t miss the blossoms!!! Coming soon

What do you know about puff balls?

My husband helped move big rocks with a backhoe and voila.... job done. I love making rock gardens. Placing the rocks is a kind of meditation for me. What activity in the garden do you find meditative? Also found puff balls. First time in almost two decades! ... Rhubarb is so beautiful in its beginning! I’m really excited to see all these bushes and things in bloom!!!!

I have been busy dragging branches, collecting rocks and finishing my edges. I saw two butterflies and there are no flowers so I out out sugar water, a lemon slice and stones to stand on. I love seeing it all come together and I’m so excited that it’s all starting to WAKE UP ... What garden work have you been doing? What do you love about the plants around you? It’s almost that time of year again? How is everyone doing? Have you started seeds yet ? Julie has always been teaching us the importance of crop rotation. A good idea is a gardening journal in case you forget from year to year. Take care everyone! Now let’s go plant those quarantine gardens.

This is such a wonderful story and reminds us that a garden supports life! So let’s not focus too much on how it looks but how biodiverse it is. I’m so proud of all our volunteers. Since 2011!

There are so many great things happening in the gardens this time of year. No pics. You have to see with your own eyes. West end of little lake park, midland. Julie is there Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday evenings. Feel free to pop by to help out or just enjoy the beauty... any time.

I love watching these big bees at work and am so grateful for them. We keep our gardens pesticide free to protect our beloved bees. What about your garden?
