We dont like to refuse donations. Its not a good feeling because we appreciate every donor who offers their household items to us. Sadly, we do have to turn some away. Our staff has a lot of experience in determining what we can sell. Our focus is on generating revenue to support our builds. When we receive a saleable donation, we are thrilled to know the revenue from that sale is going to support hardworking families in our community. So please understand, if we cant a...ccept your donation, its because we feel well be unable to sell it. Maybe we have too many of that item on the floor or maybe a major repair is required to the item that we cant manage. If we cant sell it, we have to pay to dispose of it, which means the tipping fees erode our ability to raise funds for our build program. Its our staff and volunteers least favourite task to say no to our communitys generosity. But they know saying yes can impact our ability to help local families.
