It's all about the Love! Did you know that Migration has been supporting local and direct trade designers since 2004! That's right! We are celebrating our 16th anniversary this year! Owner Sara, born and raised in Victoria, combines her two loves of travel and design. She began by designing and purchasing distinctive handmade goods directly from friends and independant designers from her favourite places around the world. Supporting both sustainable and et...hical production has always been a top priority for her. Lotus" (as we were known then), was at all of your favoutite markets, artisan shows and festivals around BC and Alberta, we even made it to Glastonbury Festival in the UK! In 2009 we started the 1st Pop-Up shop in Victoria. The Original Market collective at The Bay Centre, featured Sara's favourite local makers. Over the years we have added more and more artisans to our curated list. We've searched high and low to curate a collection of one of a kind gifts and handmade goods for our Boutique. Our Permanent Artisan Fair has supported hundreds of local designers, it is our mission to bring our creative community together. Last year, our beautiful boutique moved to a permanent location at 1223 Government St, in the heart of downtown Victoria under our new name "Migration". We feel so blessed to be surrounded by so many talented makers here in BC, some have been with us from the beginning!
