This is a good tip from the UC Davis Center for Equine Health. Provide loose salt daily to ensure sodium requirements are met, especially if not feeding a complete feed type grain or forage balancer mineral supplement. Often horses don’t consume enough from salt blocks.

A nice reminder from Carl Hester that surrounding yourself with the right support can be more important than owning an expensive horse.
