Read Woke feature: "Out" by Angela May George is a beautifully illustrated book that tells the story of a little girl who risked everything to find asylum with her mother. While some other books on this topic glaze over the perils of the journey to safety that many refugees must endure, this book addresses the fear, hunger and uncertainty that this little girl must face in order to find safety with her mother. While the journey to the adjustment of her new life is difficult, being released from the stress and fear from their old life give the girl freedom, and eventually, a reunion with a very special person (but you'll have to read the book to find out who that is). Borrow your copy from us today and Read Woke! https://s.mpl.ca/eFNRe3eG #readwoke
